Obamacare Saved By Conservatives

Obamacare has done it again.  In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court saved Obamacare, the health care law that President Barack Obama will certainly be remembered for. The Supreme Court held that the Affordable Care Act authorized federal tax credits for eligible Americans living not only in states with their own exchanges but also in the 34 states with federal marketplaces. Republicans in Congress are moving toward a plan to use a special budgetary process to repeal Obamacare.  Since last year's elections, Mitch McConnell has proposed using budget reconciliation to repeal substantial portions of the law.

Reaction To The Supreme Court Decision on Same-Sex Marriage

The Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling Friday that the Fourteenth Amendment requires all 50 states to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples led to reactions from numerous religious groups. Russell Moore, President of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of Southern Baptist Convention provided the following reaction: Mary Bonauto, Civil Rights Project Director at Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders wrote a great article in regard to the decision .  She was lead counsel in  Goodridge and argued before the Supreme Court in April.
