Huge Win for Privacy! Court Rules NSA Spying is Illegal A federal court has decided that the NSA's bulk, warrantless collection of millions of American' phone record is illegal. The appeals court reviewed the government's collection of data. President Obama has stated that only the private sector should collect the data and the government should use it. This case may end up in the Supreme Court yet the issue may be moot by the time it gets there.
