Woman arrested in murder of DC Lawyer David Messerschmitt at Donovan Hotel

Justice for David Messerschmitt!

It has been nearly 2 months since the murder of David Messerschmitt.  21-year old Jamyra Gallmon of Southeast, DC.  After 2 months without an update, the public is conducting an in-depth investigation of the suspects past:

Police investigation found Messerschmitt posted a personal ad on the Craigslist website the day he was killed soliciting responses from other men.  Messerschmitt communicated through Craigslist with a person using username 'chrissanchez0906'.  Police learned that the account was linked to Gallmon.

The 21-year old appeared in court on Thursday and her lawyer entered a not guilty plea on her behalf.  During the search, police found a folding knife and a pack of zip ties.  Zip ties were also attached to Messerschmitt's fingers when they found his body on February 10, 2015.  The zip ties were affixed together into makeshift handcuffs according to court documents.

Gallmon acknowledged that she brought the zip ties to the hotel room but denied using them the document noted.  She told police that the door to Messerschmitt's room was open when she arrived.  She also said that she stole Messerschmitt's Metro card and cash and that she threw the bloody clothes that she wore that day in a sewer.

It appears that Gallmon attended Forestville Military Academy in Forestville, MD.  She graduated in 2011 according to MaxPreps.com.

This article reports that Gallmon scored 17 points in a basketball game in 2009:

Forestville became a military academy in 2002 and graduated its first all-cadet class in 2006. It was chosen as the site for the military academy by the school system because of its low academic performance and need for improvement.



About a week before the murder, Gallmon comments on a Gun Painting video.  She seems to be seeking information regarding her airsoft gun.  Could she have been looking to spray paint the gun so it appeared real in order for her to commit additional robberies?

The DC Superior Court's online docket shows that a landlord associated with William C. Smith & Company, Inc. property management filed a complaint against Gallmon on February 24, 2015.  DC is very tenant friendly so she'd have to owe quite a few months for this to go to court.  The docket shows that the case was resolved on March 24, 2015.  'Dominique Johnson' who also appears on her Google Plus page:

What seems to be her Facebook page has a photo of her Grandmother.  Gallmon seemed to be attempting to raise money to get her 'home'.  

Initially, there was speculation regarding whether the Facebook page that Gallmon seemed to create for her grandmother was actually the correct Jamyra Gallmon due to Florida being listed as the page's location.  It certainly is the correct Jamyra Gallmon.  An Instagram photo that was on the page was posted by 'IAMDUANEJ':

Wise High School is located in Upper Marlboro, MD, about 20 minutes away from where David Messerschmitt was murdered.  Additional evidence on the 'iamduanej' Instagram and Twitter pages prove that the Facebook page is certainly Gallmon's.

Jamyra's financial problems could have put her in a desperate situation that led her to think murdering someone was worth it.
